Things are always changing and one of the biggest changes in my life since I started riding is the magazine I'm now a big part of.  Go For A Ride or GoFar for short.  This magazine is a lot different than the Full Throttle that I was with for the past 3 years.  One magazine is more about reading and riding and the other is more about looking at pictures of events and riding.  I do have to admit, I did love putting my page of pictures in the one magazine because all folks love to see themselves in a magazine with out having to be famous to get in there.  In the Go For a Ride Magazine a person can have a mapped out route every month that they can ride and see what other riders have been up to. Another thing about the magazine that makes it unique is that two pages are dedicated to the Veterans monthly.  What you won't find is profanity, nudity or babes of the month.  Mike the publisher / editor says I'm going to bring diversity to his magazine.  I really don't think he knows what he's getting into.  I really love riding all over the place, attending events and sharing stuff that I get into with other riders.

This month, February 21 & 22, 2009, in LaBelle Florida I am putting on my event in conjuction with the towns event that has been going on for the past 44 years.  With The LaBelle Swamp Cabbage Festival I've added the LaBelle Swamp Cabbage Bike Event.  Now with all the other activities going on around town like the lawn mower races, car show, rodeo, crafts, armidillo races, etc... we've got our third year of having bike games and a great bike show.  Of course we'll have a variety of vendors with swamp cabbage and gator fritters.  The food for this event is out of this world.
